Daffodils/Narcissi are one of the most popular spring flowering bulbs. My daffodils and narcissi this spring have been amazing – blankets of colour! I love them, they are always cheerful looking and brighten up any part of the garden and they are also great for tubs on the patio. The advantage of these lovely flowers is that they naturalise and reappear the following spring.
Today was such a beautiful day so I wandered around the garden snapping some of my daffodil/narcissi flowers and thought I would share them with you.
They brought to mind words of Wordsworth’s poem:
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils.
What’s also great is that these beauties at one time were only available in the autumn but now they are available in the spring already potted up.
Plus we also have the summer flowering varieties.
I am delighted that we can now enjoy Daffodils/Narcissi in our gardens or indoors for more months of the year.
